Benefit Golf Challenge for Pregnancy Care Centers of South Central IN

The Pregnancy Care Centers of South Central Indiana hosted its eighth annual Golf Challenge on Monday, August 7, 2006. The event was held at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus with almost 200 participants including participants from Midwest Tube Mills (see photo on left).

Because the demand for Pregnancy Care Center services has grown tremendously over the past eighteen years, we now have five centers in
operation in Columbus, Nashville, North Vernon, Seymour, and Shelbyville.

Funds raised from the golf tournament allow the Pregnancy Care Center, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, to continue offering free services to the public. The Pregnancy Care Center provides free and confidential services to women, men and families including pregnancy tests, peer-counseling, fetal development education and material assistance (maternity and baby
clothing, formula, diapers, car seats, cribs, etc.). In addition, the Pregnancy Care Center’s Choose to Wait program presented abstinence education to more than 3,600 students in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur,
Jackson, Jennings, and Shelby counties in 2005.
